These terms govern your use of Diff Resume (the “Service”), provided by DotDev Dominik Tarkiewicz, a sole proprietorship established in Poland at ul. Legnicka 16, 53-673 Wrocław, Poland, NIP 8971909378 (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What the Service does
Diff Resume parses a resume you upload, stores it in your account, and uses AI to tailor it to job descriptions you paste, producing a downloadable PDF. AI output can contain mistakes. The Service flags text that diverges from your original resume, but you are responsible for reviewing every tailored resume before sending it and for the truthfulness of anything you submit to an employer.
2. Your account
You need an account to use the Service. You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and be at least 16 years old. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
3. Credits, payments, and subscriptions
- Tailoring runs cost credits (currently 1 credit per run). New accounts receive free welcome credits.
- Additional credits are sold as one-off packs or recurring subscriptions, processed by Stripe. Prices are shown before checkout.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each period and grant the period’s credits. You can cancel any time from your account page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
- Credits have no cash value outside the refund policy and are tied to your account.
- Credits are usable immediately after purchase. At checkout you confirm, by ticking a box, that you request immediate performance and acknowledge that once you spend credits from a purchase, your statutory right of withdrawal for that purchase is proportionally reduced, as described in the refund policy.
4. Your content
You keep all rights to the resumes and job descriptions you submit. You grant us the limited license needed to store and process them to provide the Service — parsing, tailoring via our AI providers, and rendering PDFs. We do not sell your content or use it to train AI models. See the privacy policy for details on how content is handled and who processes it.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload content you have no right to use, or that is unlawful;
- use the Service to produce materially false credentials or otherwise deceive employers;
- probe, overload, or disrupt the Service, or access it by any means other than the provided interface;
- resell or share account access or credits.
6. Availability and changes
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We aim for reliable operation but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may change or discontinue features; if we discontinue the Service entirely we will give reasonable notice and honor the refund policy for unused paid credits.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect damages, including lost opportunities arising from the content of a resume. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including statutory consumer rights and liability for intent or gross negligence.
8. Termination and data deletion
You can delete your account at any time from the account page, which permanently deletes your data as described in the privacy policy. Unused credits are forfeited on deletion except where the refund policy applies.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will notify you (for example by email or an in-app notice) before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence. Disputes are subject to the competent courts under those rules.
